We found this hotel to be wonderful in enough ways that we will return. If you do, you get the worst rooms, and there is lots of variation. Ours was next to a daily garbage collection routine. The decor is bizarre and unsettling. The location, value and staff are great. ...read more

Overall my wife and I enjoyed the hotel. It was nicely decorated, had very friendly service, and clean. The decor matches the Fisherman's Wharf area. Our only complaint was that the walls were thin. We could hear our neighbors television like it was turned on in our own room. We could also hear every door. If you're a light sleeper, you may want to consider another hotel. ...read more

at the fireplace, leaving trash & parents essentially absent.
We enjoyed our stay except for the heavy rains. The room was a little small but the staff were very friendly. It's not the hotel's job to police customer's children, but a wet afternoon was spoiled by their antics. It was my hsbd's first trip to SF & he enjoyed it very much. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again on our next trip. Hope unruly children stay in school & not accompany parents. Ha! ...read more

Our room was smaller than those found in most European hotel. We couldn't pass each other, one had to step aside. My suitcase didn't fit between the end of the bed and the desk - I had to lift it over the set it on the floor next to the bed. ...read more
